Essential reading

The One Chance Rule

When working with cases of HBA or harmful practices, you may only get one opportunity to identify risk and act. Understanding the One Chance Rule is essential for anyone working with people who may be affected.

If a professional fails to act at the first opportunity, the chance to protect that person may be lost. The One Chance Rule means asking the right questions, alone, sensitively, and in the right order.
